Year 6 pupils from St John Vianney Catholic Primary School enjoyed an exciting educational visit to Newcastle on Friday, travelling by both bus and train as part of their adventure.
During the visit, the children explored some of the city's most famous landmarks and learning opportunities. They admired the impressive architecture of the cathedral and were privileged to take part in Mass, helping to deepen their understanding of faith and worship.
The pupils also spent time studying the iconic bridges across the River Tyne, learning about their design, structure and importance to the city.
To complete their day, Year 6 visited the Laing Art Gallery, where they explored a variety of fascinating artworks and discovered how art can tell stories, capture ideas and reflect different periods of history.
The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for children to learn beyond the classroom and experience history, art, engineering and faith in a real-world setting.
